ABO was engaged by a consortium of financial institutions in possession of one of Chicago’s privatized assets. Through relationship building, and targeted problem-solving, the client was able to successfully sell and receive municipal approval of the lease to a new long-term owner. The new owner has since engaged ABO to continue representing the asset.

Helped a Fortune 100 company defeat legislation in Springfield that would have severely limited its ability to deliver a new product to the market. ABO built a strong coalition of legislators to defeat the bill that was championed by a senior legislator who served in a leadership post for the majority party.

ABO was hired to help build and direct a team of diverse professionals to pursue a license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) for the purpose of operating a medical cannabis dispensary. ABO helped the client build a balanced team, secure investors, identify locations for the business, navigate the community process, work with local elected officials, and ultimately win both of the licenses for which they applied.
